WEBINAR ON CLOUD COMPUTING FUNDAMENTALS

The webinar on cloud computing fundamentals is organised by the IEEE
sreyas student branch under the IEEE computer society chapter on 27th
April,2020 by Dr. Rajanikanth Aluvala.

About speaker
Dr. Rajanikanth Aluvala(Head Of the Department and professor,department
of CSE,vardhaman college of engineering) is a result oriented leader and a
team player with cross-functional experience of cloud computing and big
data research,training and education management of more than 15years of
experience. He Pursued his PhD in computer science & Engineering with
cloud computing as a major from GITAM University.

Introduction and webinar
The webinar started at 4:00pm and lasted up to 5:00pm.
The speaker Dr.rajanikanth aluvala sir started the webinar after a welcome
by the IEEE sreyas student chair. Around 117 students registered
themselves for this program.
The program started with a basic introduction to cloud computing(nutshell).
Adding to the basics, detailed explanation regarding its characteristics,
advantages, challenges, cloud computing as a service provider is taught to
students. The difference between fog and cloud and also major details and
information regarding cloud service providers such as Amazon and
Microsoft azure and cloud deployment models are been explained to the
students.
The program ended with a question and answer session Where students
actively participated and got their queries clarified. The session was
interactive,providing knowledge to students giving a class like atmosphere.
By the end of the webinar, students gained a basic knowledge about cloud
computing and its uses. Students found this program interesting and highly
beneficial.
